Privacy Policy

I am a freelance data scientist based in Backnang, Germany, dedicated to helping technicians and engineers enhance their data science skills. Protecting your data is my top priority, and I am committed to maintaining your privacy throughout our collaboration.

This privacy policy is divided into two parts:

  1. A section on essential contact information outlines how I handle your contact details, such as your name and email address.

  2. A section on client code and data describes how I manage any code and data shared during our collaboration. At the beginning of our work together, you preferably don’t share any code or data at all. I can pair program with you just by looking at a shared screen.

Part 1: Essential Contact Information

The only personal data I collect and process is your contact information, which may include:

  • Name
  • Email address
  • Phone number

This information is essential for effective communication and collaboration. I do not share your contact information with third parties without your explicit consent.

As a freelancer, I operate under the guidelines set forth by the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). This means:

  • I will only process your contact information as instructed by you.

  • I will implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to safeguard your data.

  • Your contact information will be handled with confidentiality and integrity.

  • Your contact information is stored only as long as necessary for our collaboration or as required by law.

You have several rights regarding your personal data under the GDPR, including:

  • Right of Access: You can request access to the contact information I hold about you.

  • Right to Rectification: You can ask for corrections if any of your contact information is inaccurate or incomplete.

  • Right to Erasure: You may request deletion of your contact information under certain conditions.

  • Right to Restrict Processing: You can request that I limit the processing of your contact information in specific situations.

  • Right to Data Portability: You have the right to receive your contact information in a structured, commonly used format.

Part 2: Client Code and Data

During a training or during a pair programming session, I do not need to access your data. Training partners will learn to prepare sample datasets when necessary to solve programming questions.

Communication Platforms: You have the flexibility to choose any communication platform for our interactions. Whether you decide to share your screen or not, I will only view the shared content. I cannot access any underlying software or programs on your device.

Sharing code and data: If our collaboration extends to sharing code and data, I recommend that you keep this information on your own computer cluster. Provided with a secure connection to your cluster, I will develop with the vim editor inside the cluster, so that no data needs to be loaded in my laptop. This approach minimizes the risk of unauthorized access and ensures that you retain control over your data.

If you have any questions or concerns regarding this privacy policy or how I handle your personal data, please feel free to reach out.
